FAQs
1. What is microneedling, and how does it work?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive skincare treatment that uses tiny, sterile needles to create micro-injuries in the skin. This stimulates the body’s natural healing process, encouraging collagen and elastin production, which improves skin texture, reduces fine lines, and addresses scars and pigmentation.
2. What skin concerns can microneedling help with?
Microneedling is effective for treating a range of skin concerns, including acne scars, fine lines and wrinkles, enlarged pores, uneven skin tone, and stretch marks. It’s suitable for most skin types and offers a natural way to rejuvenate your complexion.
3. Is microneedling painful?
Most clients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure. A topical numbing cream is applied before the treatment to ensure comfort. After the session, your skin may feel slightly sensitive, similar to a mild sunburn, but this typically subsides within 1-2 days.
4. How many microneedling sessions will I need?
The number of sessions varies based on your skin concerns. Many clients see improvements after just one session, but a series of 3-6 treatments spaced 4-6 weeks apart is recommended for optimal results. Your esthetician will create a personalized plan during your consultation.
5. What is the downtime after microneedling?
Microneedling has minimal downtime. You may experience redness and slight swelling for a few hours to a day after treatment. Most clients can return to their normal activities the next day, though it’s important to avoid sun exposure and wear sunscreen during the healing process.
